Report: Pelicans’ Brandon Ingram (ankle) out indefinitely

New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram is sidelined indefinitely after sustaining a low left ankle sprain, ESPN reported on Sunday.

Ingram rolled his ankle when he landed on the foot of Oklahoma City’s Lu Dort during the Pelicans’ 119-109 loss to the Thunder on Saturday.

That game was the second one back for Ingram, who missed five games due to right plantaris tendinitis.

Ingram, 27, is averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 18 games (all starts) this season.

Ingram, who made the All-Star team in 2019-20, averages 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 495 games (456 starts) since being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft out of Duke.
