DMV Spotlight on 10-23-22 shines a light on October as Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Guest Tswana Sewell , Senior Executive Director DC/Baltimore with the American Cancer Society discussed detection, treatment and support for cancer patients and survivors. Sewell also discussed the latest findings in cancer research funded by the ACS as well as various programs to volunteer to help cancer patients.
Sewell also noting the drop in critical cancer screenings, including mammograms, during the pandemic.
