DMV Spotlight on Oct 2, 2022 shines a light on Willing Warriors, a 501(c)(3) that provides retreat centers for recovering warriors often challenged with Post Traumatic Stress or Traumatic Brain Injury.
Co-Founder Shirley Dominick and her husband became involved with visiting injured service members at Walter Reed. Dominick says that led to the opening of the first Warrior Retreat house at Bull Run several years ago. Now groundbreaking is beginning on a third retreat home where injured veterans and their families can come for a week and reconnect with one another and spend time together. Willing Warriors is also hosting a fundraising Gala on Nov 5th, 2022 at Lansdowne Resort and Spa.
