DMV Spotlight on 12.8.2019 shines a light on Fisher House, a home away from home for the families of service members and veterans who are being treated for an illness or injury far from home. Guests, Tish Stropes, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Michelle Baldanza, Vice President of Communications discussed the 86 Fisher Houses around the US and overseas and the healing that happens when services members are surrounded by family members. Tish Stropes also talked about the Warrior Games and Invictus Games as well as the Hero Miles program that allows donors give airline miles so military families can travel to be with loved ones. Michelle Baldanza also highlighting the working relationship with the VA to continue to build Fisher Houses where the need is greatest. Also discussed, the Fisher House Golf Classic in May of 2020 at Landsdowne in Virginia.
