DMV Spotlight on 8.11.19 shines a light on the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, VA. Guests, Allen Lomax, Chair of the SAPCA Board of Directors for a decade and Emma Beall, MPH, Coordinator of SAPCA outlined the various programs offered by Alexandria to help prevent underage use and abuse of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. SAPCA uses a variety of community wide strategies including: Prescription Take Back Days, Project Sticker Shock, Kick Butts Day, and Health Conversations. SAPCA also offers a variety of resources for parents including materials on E-cigarettes, Marijuana, Opiods, Tobacco and Underage drinking myths and facts.
